"WE'RE REALLY
FUNKY!!"
This is the screenplay of The Book of Haight, which will be the
first film to capture the real essence of that incredible period
in the Haight-Ashbury of 1965-1969, following the sometimes unbelievable
(but sometimes really true) adventures of Funky Sam, Funky Paul,
and Funky Jack, who were at the center of what was going on during
that time.
Funky Features will be full of
humor, history, and insight as it plunges head-first into the
psychedelia of the sixties, and takes you for a trip you will
never forget. The rapid coalescing of the Haight phenomenon, the
bands, the music, the media, the people, the artists, the drugs,
Superspade, the crazyness Americana of it all, and the changes
it forged which reverberate throughout the world today via our
computers.
There are simultaneously three
love stories that fight for survival in this crazy brew of experiment,
sex, drugs, rock 'n roll, motorcycles, and new beginnings...and
by the time the film is over, the audience will leave the theater
disoriented and feeling like they were there (or wondering if
the popcorn was spiked).
