THE VERY FIRST FAMILY DOG POSTER!

Bill Graham's first Fillmore concert was two weeks before this one. This was the next show at the Fillmore, presented by Chet Helms of The Family Dog.

This poster is unique and valuable for obvious reasons, and was given to Bill by Chet (along with ALL the rest of these Avalon posters) in exchange for some of Bill's posters. This is Wes Wilson's first concert poster.

This is a second edition poster...but unlike the Fillmore second editions which were printed many years after the concerts, the Avalon second and third editions were printed one after the other to fill

Bill brought all the later Avalon posters you see here when he came by the Funky Features house the second time, in 1968, and topped up the first series of Fillmore and Avalon posters he gave me at the end of 1966.

Unbelievably, this poster is in perfect condition (and when I say perfect, I mean "mint," like it just came off the press).
